A View Behind Our Binnys

If you’ve followed our journey for some time, then you know we’ve been working towards improving our sustainability. From updating our packaging materials to launching our waste-reducing ‘Green’ gift set, we are constantly looking for ways to lower our impact as a company. One of our favorite choices was partnering with byrd & belle to create our custom Binnys. Not only are these creations a stylish vessel for gifting, but they can be repurposed in a ton of ways around a home afterwards.

byrd & belle was founded right here in Minneapolis by Angie Davis in 2008. What started as a one-woman and one-sewing machine operation has since expanded into a fully-equipped design and manufacturing studio. Their team creates each and every product using a cut & sew technique with astute precision. Although most of their goods are made using their signature wool fabric, we selected two hues of canvas - charcoal and cream - for our custom Binnys. The best part: they also hand stamp a subtle and stylish embossed monogram on the leather handles as a beautiful finishing touch. Given that we obsess over the way our crinkle paper looks, it’s safe to say that we admire attention to detail, and byrd & belle knocks it out of the park!

Of course Binnys are our favorite item from byrd & belle (biased opinion, of course!), but they’ve also created an array of gift items for us in the past, including stylish coasters and cord keeps. No matter what the product is, you can trust that each creation will be meticulously designed with clean lines and timeless color options.

If you’re digging our Binnys, you can easily snag one for yourself or send one to a special someone as an upgrade option on your next gift purchase. Most gift sets in our online shop have this option, and it’s also a popular choice for corporate gifts. Be sure to read all of the ideas for reusing them around the house in our blog.
